Volunteering for Camp Erin 2014
Cabin Buddies, Big Buddies, Photographers, etc.

WE HAVE RECEIVED AN OVERWHELMING NUMBER OF APPLICANTS FOR FEMALE BUDDY POSITIONS FOR THIS YEAR'S CAMP. WE WILL BE WAIT-LISTING FEMALE BUDDY APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER JUNE 18TH. WE WILL CONTINUE TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FOR SUPPORT POSITIONS FOR PRE-CAMP EVENTS.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FOR MALE BUDDY POSITIONS UNTIL ALL MALE POSITIONS ARE FILLED.



We are always looking for physically fit, highly energetic, enthusiastic men and women who enjoy working with children and teens!  

Requirements:  All volunteers must be:

  1. At least 18 years of age,
  2. Graduated from High School, and
  3. Have reliable transportation to and from all of the REQUIRED events.
  4. All volunteers are required to complete a background check.

  • New volunteers will be called during the summer to schedule an interview.

  • Interviews are not required for returning volunteers.
  • All volunteers will be notified about application status the first week of August.


New volunteers typically apply for the Cabin Buddy position.

Cabin Buddies are one-on-one with an assigned camper.

Big Buddies (returning volunteers only) are in charge of an entire cabin (of 5 campers, and 5 volunteers).

Two photographers volunteer – one male and one female.  They are required at ALL events, and must edit nametags out of all photos, and upload all photos to Facebook immediately following each event.

Grief Counselors are typically Social Workers or Psychologists – they facilitate activities and provide bereavement support/counseling to all the campers and volunteers.

Support volunteers (more information below) do not attend the camp itself, but they assist with office tasks, interviews, donations, etc. year round, based on their availability.
