Volunteering for Camp Erin - Albany 2015
Cabin Buddies, Big Buddies, Photographers, RNs, Grief Counselors, etc.
be at least 18 years of age
have graduated from High School
have reliable transportation to and from all of the REQUIRED events
required to complete a background check (paid for by The Community Hospice)
New volunteers are
required to complete an interview and Volunteer Orientation.
We recommend new volunteers apply for the Cabin Buddy position.
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
Cabin Buddies (60) work one-on-one with an assigned camper.
Big Buddies (12) are returning, experienced volunteers in charge of an entire cabin (5 campers, and 5 volunteers).
They provide their own transportation to and from Camp Fowler, and must set up and take down the cabins.
Grief Counselors (12) are traditionally Community Hospice clinical staff – they facilitate activities and provide bereavement support to all the campers and volunteers.
Photographers (2) – one male and one female. They are required at ALL events, and must edit photographs, upload photographs, and create slideshows.
Support Volunteers - Assist at different times of the year with donations, office work, scanning/printing/phonecalls etc.
Support Volunteers may also assist at the different Camp Erin events (such as Departure, Return, Reunion, Trainings, etc.
